A new campaign to encourage the responsible use of alcoholic drinks is been launched today in the UK, the Wine and Spirit
Association (WSTA) and the Drinkware Trust have design this campaign to complement Government’s campaign “Know Your Limits”.
This new campaign comes out on the same day that the Home Office commissioned a report on the sale and production of alcoholic drinks saying that most bars, pubs and clubs are guilty of promoting irresponsible practices such as underage drinking and binge drinking.
The main focus of this campaign will be on field, where a lot of field marketing will be done for the campaign. With over 12,000 stores including Sainsbury’s, Asda Mark & Spencer’s and many others, supporting the point-of-sale campaign called “Know Your Limits”
Advice and Guidance will be provided for costumers at the point of sale via posters and stickers outlining the alcohol volume of individual drinks.
The campaign is intended to be extended till the Christmas Holidays, a period of the year when alcohol reaches its higher intake levels.
