Field Marketing is a traditional discipline in Marketing; it involves people distributing, auditing selling or sampling promotions in the “field”.

Field marketing is a one-way communication tool. The brand’s message is delivered from promotional personnel to the consumer, whether through the medium of a sample, a piece of merchandise or literature.

The execution of field marketing campaigns aims to meet sales promotion objectives such as product trial or sales uplift. Imagine a supermarket and between the alleys those little tents with a lovely person handing out free samples of a new juice brand, that is a classic and very effective example of a field marketing campaign.

Field marketing has been around for a long time, even though there are many new forms of marketing, field marketing still proves to be an effective one.
